Medical and vision plan contribution increases

Contributions for medical and vision insurance plans are increasing for colleagues. To make sure you’re enrolled in a plan that works for you and your budget, use the decision support tools in MyBenefits to compare plans. View the 2026 contribution amounts here.

Prescription changes

Prescription copays for covered drugs are increasing for colleagues enrolled in a national plan with UnitedHealthcare and the deductible is increasing in the national PPO plan. Colleagues taking a GLP-1 for weight loss will see new requirements for coverage. Additionally, fertility drug treatments will have a lifetime maximum of $15,000.

New contribution limits for savings accounts

The contribution limit for the Health Savings Account (HSA) will increase to $4,400 for individuals and $8,750 for families. The Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) limit is also increasing to $7,500. The DCFSA plan is subject to non-discrimination testing by federal regulation. You will be notified if you enroll in the DCFSA and this affects the amount you can contribute.

Working spouse surcharge

The monthly working spouse surcharge for medical will continue if you choose to cover your spouse/domestic partner who has access to subsidized medical coverage through their employer. Beginning on January 1, 2026, the monthly surcharge is increasing from $100 to $150.

New partners to support colleagues

If you enroll in a national UnitedHealthcare (UHC) plan, you will have access to expanded health support through Lantern and 9amHealth, as well as family-building support through newly-added Maven.

  • Find the best care and save money: Access the highest-quality care for many planned, non-emergency surgeries and procedures through Lantern’s Network of Excellence. When you use Lantern, you’ll pay minimal costs for your procedure, ensuring affordable and exceptional care. 
    • Beginning April 1, 2026: To ensure you receive high-quality surgery care from a trusted provider network, bariatric surgery procedures must be done with a Lantern provider. Learn more.
  • Prevent or manage diabetes and more: 9amHealth provides an all-in-one care program for prediabetes and diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and healthy weight management. Work with a Care Team to get a personalized plan and use tools to track and monitor your progress. Learn more.
    • If you are currently working with Omada or Livongo, you will have access to those services through the end of this year. You’ll be able to sign up for 9amHealth starting January 1, 2026.
  • Personalized care for the path to parenthood: From thinking about starting a family to trying to get pregnant to having a child, Maven gives you 24/7 virtual access to a dedicated Care Advocate, plus appointments and messaging with high-quality providers – at no additional cost to you. Enhancements in voluntary benefits

  • Identity Theft Protection will have an additional coverage level option – the premier plus plan provides increased coverage for cyber-crime and device privacy.
  • The Legal plan will include legal services and court work related to reproductive assistance and caregiving matters.
  • The hospital indemnity, accident insurance and critical illness plans will have enhancements. You will also see lower contributions for accident insurance and critical illness.
  • Those interested in pet insurance will see a new option on BenefitHub for coverage through MetLife.

New process requirement for child optional life

If you currently have, or are electing new, child optional life insurance, you will need to select which dependents you want covered during the Open Enrollment process.

SECURE 2.0 Act changes to the 401(k) plan

Participants ages 60-63 have an increased ability to save through catch-up contributions as the limits are raised from the standard $7,500 for participants over 50 to $11,250.
